Signing up as player

Player Guidelines:

1. Players must signup in the signup thread at least
2 weeks before start of season.

2. Your player stats will be generated based on the information
you provide on the signup thread, with your overall rating set By the
ratings that u give us of yourself in your post. All forum players start
with 82 Rating.

3. Drafting will be done at least 10 days before the start
of the season. When you get drafted the team GM will send you a Private
Message on the forums or via e-mail, you will have 1 week to reply to
the contact offer. If we do not hear from you. You will receive the
Leagues base salary based on your stats.

4. The team you are drafted to will have a pay scale to
follow they loose money if forum players are not played. It only does
not take effect when you are injured.

5. Drafted players must automatically sign a minimum one
(1) year deal with their draft team. Contracts are maxed at 3 years
you will be free agent after that time.

6. Player holdouts are not allowed if you have a problem
with your GM try to work it out with them. If the two of you cannot
resolve it, you can take it to a league official, the league officials
will act as binding arbitration between you and the GM

7. You can ask to be traded at anytime (ex. you are not
happy with play time, etc) but that doesn’t mean the Gm has
to trade you.

8. Forum players will be considered Free agents at the
end of your contract.

9. Players can ask for a no trade clause if they would
like, Also can have a player option on your contract or bonuses.

10. Your Overall can change from season to season depending
on how you play. (Now if you have a bad season your overall will not
drop like a rock, You will only go down very little, probably not even
to where you would see a change in your overall rating. The most you
can decrease is 1 overall point, Now for the Guys that have a average
season you Will not see a change in overall, but your stats will be
moved up. And those who have good seasons will move up in Skill, the
most Overall points you can move up is two. (The stat we will be looking
at is the Plus/Minus Stat.

NHL player’s ratings will not change from season to season. These
players are temporary they will be removed as the league grows with
increased signup\'s.

The following scale will be used:

Players Goalies

Lower Good season +7 or higher Good season 87% or higher

Even Season between -6 and +6 Even Season 83%-87%

Bad season -7 and lower Bad season 83% or lower

 

11. Players need to be as active as they can, post about your games,
post player interviews, and have fun with the league this league is
for you guys. (With more participation the league becomes better, Post
reports about your player, things he has done, trouble he has caused.
Make this fun. Its a league for you and i am sure you want it full of
excitement)Players are not Required to post stories.

 

Signing up as a GM

Gm Guidelines:

1. When new teams are to be added a team bid thread will
be started. Your bid has to have the follow things Team Name, Arena,
capacity. You have to post your team Logo. There will not be two teams
in the same area. Example of this is No two Detroit franchises.

2. You will be given a Deadline of 2 weeks to complete
your add-ons for your team if it is chosen. We do not expect everybody
to be graphic artistes your add-ons can be made by another add-on maker
or by help on this site from an add-on maker or another site. If your
design for your team was made by another please give the author credit
in your post. (The Commissioner & League Officials is always Available
to help you out)

3. Drafting will be done at least 10 days before the start
of the season. You are expected to be online for it Snapshot Hockey
Now has I live Chat for this operation, if for some reason you cannot
make it, contact a league official and find replacement a trusted person
to do this for you, preferably not another GM that all ready has a team
to worry about. Do not comply and your team maybe removed from the league
and replaced at the discretion of the league officials. All teams that
do not show up on draft day will be given 3-day grace to appeal your
case. A league official may draft for you so that the drafting process
is not slowed.

4. Contract offers must be sent out within a day of drafting
to give players time to respond. If they do not respond within 1 week
they should be signed at the Leagues base salary based on their stats.

5. Team Rosters must me submitted at least 4 days before
the start of season. Lineups must be submitted at least 2 days Before
the Date the game is to be simmed. Dates will be posted in the schedule.
Dates can be changed by League commissioner if something comes up.(ie:
Hard Drive crash) If you do not, your lines taken from your last Post.

6. All forums players should be played the following pay
scale will be used for determine your cap. Of course if a player gets
injured that is beyond your control.

3. Loose 1.5m off cap and 500k more for every player on the team that
has played this amount

6. Receive Bonus of $20,000.00 dollars for every player in-between 4
and 6 games played to

7 and 18 games played

To max of 500k.

20. Played all games Bonus of 1.5m dollars per player in-between 18
and 20 games played to max of 5m.

So the most you can loose is 5m and the highest your cap can be is 30m

7. All trades offers must be posted in the appropriate
forum and be approved by the league Commissioner.

8. If a forum player requests a trade your job will be
to work out a solution with the player, if the two of you cannot resolve
it, you can take it to a league official, and the league officials will
act as binding arbitration between you and the player.

9. Teams must have a minimum eighteen (18) skaters and
two (2) goalies on roster and a minimum of 25 players, including goalies.The
teams are not allowed to have more than 3 Goalies and max overall team
of 30 players.

10. Each team has payroll of $25 Million.

11. Payroll Guidelines:

NHL Players

85-90 Paid minimum $1M

76-84 Paid minimum $500K

60-75 Paid minimum $200K

Forum Players

85-90 paid minimum $2M

76-84 paid minimum $1.5M

60-75 paid minimum $1M

Each team will be required to update their salary cap
in the designated GM area of the UFHL site after each transaction. If
not the player will be removed from your team and placed back on FA
list. A statement will be issued saying that the player & agent
have broken off talks with your team. Gm\'s must manage their teams.

12. GM\'s need to be active, post news, comments on games
etc., the more active you are the better the League will be and the
more fun we will have. The rule will soon become mandatory for all GM\'s

League Officials

1. There will be 2 elected league officials; the commissioner
will be the 3rd.

2. A league official may be removed by a 75% vote of of
all GM\\\\\\\'s.

3. The elected league officials will have a 2-season term.
Any league member will be eligible to apply for league official. Team
GM\\\\\\\'s will vote on applicants.

4. Responsibilities -----

- Act as arbitrators between players and GM\\\\\\\'s

- Assisting commissioner in running of league and enforcing of league
rules,

League Commissioner

------------------

1. League commissioner is a lifetime appointment.

2. A league commissioner may be removed by a unanimous
vote of of all GM\\\\\\\'s.

3. Commissioners must give 4-week notice if they wish
to retire, and create a thread for applicants. Applicants will have
2 weeks to apply in the application thread. All league members will
vote on applicant for commissioner.

4. Responsibilities-----

- Starting player signup and team bid threads when required.

- Posting of Draft list at least 14 days before season start.

- Posting free agent list at least 1 week before season start.

- Posting schedule of games with dates to be simmed. (At least a few
days notice to give GM\\\\\\\'s time to change lineup)

- Organizing simming of games. (He may sim them himself or have someone
else simm them)

- Collecting and posting of game scores and stats.

- Act as arbitrators between players and GM\\\\\\\'s

- Enforcing of league rules

League expansion

----------------

1. League officials will decide on time and number of
teams to be added or removed.

2. A thread will be started for team bids; any member
wishing to have a team may apply in that thread.

3. Current GM\\\\\\\'s will vote on bids in team bid thread.

4. If a GM retires We will ask for guys on the team that
want to take that team over, If no one wants to take it over bids will
be taken, and handled like it was a new team, but the roster will remain
the same.

 

FREE AGENT SIGNINGS

When picking up a free agent you only post in that free
agent list. So if he is a center you post it in the centers. You then
login in to UFHL site and request the player from the FA list. Once
approved by league commissioner the player will be added to your team.
You are then required to sign the player to a deal and update their
info and picture. Most of the player info can be found at NHL.com.

The same thing goes for if you are releasing a player; post it in the
thread of his position. Currently NHlers are used as Roster fillers
and at some point replaced by our active forum members.

SIGNING PLAYERS

Max Amount of years for any contract is 3 years, that
includes team and player options

All Star Game

1. Will be held at the end of the playoffs.

2. Host rink will be chosen by a random draw. (The only
team not in the running is the team that held it the year before)

3. GM\\\\\\\'s for the All-star game will be chosen by a vote
of all league members.

4. Polls will be created for each position In each conference
For C, LW, And RW the top players for voted on will be named to the
all star team, for Defenders it will be the top 6, and for goalies the
top 2.

5. If by chance only 3 players get voted on in a single
topic it will be up to the GM that was voted in as coach to fill the
extra roster spots, with anyone that he chooses from his conference.

6. Voting will close the day after the last playoff game
has been played

Playoffs

All teams will make the playoffs until the league expands to more teams.It
will be a best of 7 series.

Additional rules

----------------

1. All voting unless otherwise noted will be a simple
majority.

2. In the event of a tie the league commissioner will have an additional
tie-breaking vote.

3. Rules may be amended or updated by your Voted In League Official
If need Be As Issues arise
